Food always so freshly cooked and authenticate. Service was very friendly and helpful The creamed cauliflour was something I tasted for the first time, delicious. I have friends coming from Rome and Naples, and we will dine here without a doubt. A nice place to bring guests too. All of our party were very pleased Until next time, Ciao!
My husband and I went to Delizie Cucina a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night. There weren't too many tables occupied which was surprising because the food was great! They started us off with some bread and an olive in olive oil dip! The bread and the dip were both sooo good! We got the Polpettine ai carciofi (artichoke beignet) as a starter. This was crispy and delicious! For the mains, we got the Rigatoni della Nonna and Tortelloni con Asparagi. Both were really good! The service here was great! The server recommended a great wine for my husband and told us about the dishes in detail to help us order. When they brought the mains out, I told them we were sharing so they quickly got us plates and serving spoons. It was a hot day and I was parched. I can't recall how many times they refilled my water glass! Without me having to wait for it to be refilled even once! Overall, this was a great place with good vegetarian options. Will definitely dine there again!
Ordered a pappardelle ala bolognese ($27) and ravioli di manzo ($29) for takeout. Order was ready in less than 10 mins on a Fri night. Pretty impressive. Both were excellent. The quality is apparent. Portions were on the smaller side though, I could probably eat both myself. Of the 2, the ravioli was our favorite. Asked for no added salt and neither were salty. Well done. Only wish they had lasagna and meatballs. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend this place
Recently, our department of 18, had a special celebration we wanted catered, while supporting a local small business in the process. Our search for the perfect caterer ended within 2 hours of speaking to Francesco from Delizie. From our initial inquiry, to the day of catering, he promptly and professionally communicated every step of the way, between 2 different individuals arranging the party. On the day of, he took the time to set up the delicious salad, main entree and desserts. The food was a hit with our team. He kindly worked with our minor menu alterations and made the respectful vegetarian adjustments we requested for a couple team members. We look forward to working with Francesco and the Delizie Family for a future event.
Best Italia food in the Bay Area! This place transports you to Italy. Amazing food and atmosphere.
Came here for a late dinner with my family and it was such a treat! The staff here are top notch - friendly and helpful with recommendations. It's a small restaurant, but has a large patio area for outdoor dining when weather permits. There were 2 other tables celebrating birthdays and it was so sweet to see the 2 waiters come out to sing happy birthday with a sweet treat on hand for the birthday girls. We decided to eat family style and ordered 5 pastas, a few appetizers and some wine. My favorite pastas were the seafood gnocchi and the special of the day which was paperdelle with pork cheek and fava beans. The focaccia is a must get as well! The staff surprised us with cannolis on the house after our meal. They were delicious! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
This is a cozy spot with great service and good pastas. We came in Monday and were seated immediately, and the servers took good care of us all night. Calamari - these were fried a bit too lightly for us, so they were not super crispy, but I liked the sauce it was served with. House focaccia - this is worth trying! It's chewy and hearty and comes with a side of pesto to dip. Rigatoni Della nonna - YUM. It has a stronger kick than I expected! I loved the sauce and the noodles had the perfect texture. Pappardelle CINGHIALE (wild boar) - this was just okay to me. Not sure if we just aren't used to this style but the ragu was very loose, nothing clings to the noodles, and just not super flavorful. Tortellini - sauce was really tasty!
It's a nice cozy outfit in downtown. We were there on a weekday evening to celebrate our anniversary. Street parking was easy to find behind the restaurant. Being a weekday, the place was pretty empty. Only 4-5 other tables were occupied. We ordered the house special for the night which was a broccoli fritter. For main course I had the Fettuccine Ai Porchini (since I love mushrooms). My wife was indecisive between the Bolognese and the Tortelloni Con Asparagi. The server promptly recommended the Tortelloni. And he was on point! That was way better then the Fettuccine I had. For drinks, I had an Aranciata. It was basically a store-bought drink in a can. But boy it was delicious for a can drink. At the end, they brought Tiramisu to celebrate our anniversary which was a very sweet gesture. And it tasted pretty good. Overall, a very pleasant experience with excellent service.
I was determined to find authentic Italian cuisine in San Carlos, and I'm thrilled that my search led me to Delizie. From the moment I walked in and was warmly greeted by Giuseppe, I had a feeling this was going to be a special experience. The presence of Guanciale on the menu only reinforced that feeling - it was a sign of good things to come. The focaccia was simply divine - soft, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the herb-infused oil. Opting for the Spaghetti alla carbonara with a glass of Vermentino was a decision I didn't regret. The pasta was cooked to perfection - al dente and not overwhelmed by sauce. It was exactly what I had been craving. Dessert was a delight as well. The Ricotta e Pistacchio, accompanied by a Primitovo Di Manduria, was heavenly. The service was impeccable, and Francesco, the owner, added to the welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu on my next visit. Delizie has definitely become a favorite spot for me.
Came for my husband's birthday dinner and had a fantastic experience. We started things off with the burrata and prosciutto that comes with a complimentary order of their house-made focaccia bread (it's only complimentary with the order of an app, otherwise you have to pay $4 for the bread). The bread was crispy and seasoned and the olive tapenade that they served it with was absolute heaven. The burrata was creamy and refreshing and paired nicely with the salty prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, and arugula that came on the plate. For our mains, I got the gnocchi di mare while my husband got their pappardelle al cinghiale. My gnocchi was amazing - perfectly cooked potato dumplings smothered in an assortment of fresh seafood in a white wine sauce. Deliciously paired with a glass of chardonnay. My husband was unfortunately less impressed with his meal - his noodles were overcooked and falling apart and there was barely any sauce in his dish, making the overall meal a little dry. Dessert made up for his lackluster entree though - we ordered the cannoli and limoncello torta, both of which were fantastic. Not overly sweet, creamy with the right amount of tang, super easy to eat and a great way to end our meal.
